Thank you so much for creating something for me! I've included prompts in case they're helpful—I have more for some fandoms/relationships than for others, but that's just because of what I could think up; I'd be delighted to receive anything for any of these requests. <3

I have gifts enabled, and treats are very welcome!

I'm [archiveofourown.org profile] scioscribe on AO3 and [tumblr.com profile] scioscribe on Tumblr. All requests are for fic.

Biggles Series - W. E. Johns

Fandom-specific DNWs: Period- or canon-typical racism. For stories with von Stalhein, I don't want WWII settings or any mention of Hitler or Nazis. For Ginger/Algy, I would prefer Ginger to be 18+.

Ginger Hebblethwaite/Algy Lacey

* Established relationship sex under various hot-sweet-funny domestic contexts, like sleepy sex, morning sex, sex when one of them is in a bad temper over being injured (and maybe has more limited pain-free movement than usual), first time back together again after having been separated for a while, trying out a new kink, etc.

* Algy is trying to bottle up his feelings, which works until Ginger gets hurt protecting or rescuing him, whereupon he can't handle Ginger having gotten hurt/almost died on his account. See also: Ginger having no idea why Algy is so upset about this and then figuring it out and being delighted. I also love the idea of physically hurt Ginger being very tender with severely emotionally rattled Algy because he can see that Algy is far more shaken up than he is.

* Algy and Ginger go to a gay bar, either a relatively discreet one or one connected to the world of cabaret and burlesque. I'm up for anything from the two of them just getting to have a drink together and luxuriate in the experience of more openly, publicly ogling each other and trading a few casual touches to a reckless but exhilarating encounter that ends up with Ginger on Algy's lap or Algy lightly domming Ginger and the two of them getting off a little on the exhibitionism.

* A first kiss. Does it escalate from mutual teasing, sort of friendly, plausibly deniable daring that then turns magnificently, openly real? Is it an "I'm so glad you're still alive" kiss?

* One of them ropes Biggles and/or Bertie into helping him choose a birthday gift or small anniversary token for the other, especially if it's the first such occasion since they've gotten together and it hasn't yet become 100% clear how explicitly romantic they're going to be.

* Algy surprises Ginger by renting out a private screening room for their own private picture show. Not all the films get watched with 100% attention.

* Ginger and Algy have been together for a while, and Ginger wants to bring Algy back home for some dinner with his family and sort of tentatively feel out the prospect of revealing their relationship. I'm good with it going well or badly as long as Algy and Ginger's relationship with each other stays strong and loving (or even gets stronger?). This just feels like a great way to poke at class and age differences that might not matter that much to them but may matter a lot to other people, at least at first.

* What if they had a brief relationship sometime earlier in canon but wound up breaking up or, if it was mostly casual, deciding to call things off before they got serious? I'm really curious what they would look like with an additional dramatic charge of exes-getting-back-together. Does it make one or both of them wary about starting things up again? Why did they break up? (I like the idea of it being for self-sabotaging reasons, like Algy thinking Ginger shouldn't be tied down so young or one of them calling it quits because he knows he's in love and he doesn't want the heartache of it not being reciprocated.) What could be the catalyst for them getting back together again? What's it like to live and work with someone you love that you used to be with but aren't anymore (yet)?

* One of them is in an unusually foul mood for whatever reason, and the other goes to considerable effort to make him feel better—efforts eventually rewarded with a blowjob, perhaps?

Algy Lacey & Erich von Stalhein
James "Biggles" Bigglesworth/Erich von Stalhein & Algy Lacey

* Post-Hatchet, Algy is reluctantly won over—at least a little bit—by von Stalhein doing something selfless or caretaker-y for Biggles? In general, I have a huge weakness for Algy gradually and much to his consternation deciding that von Stalhein at least passes the "is indeed thoroughly devoted to Biggles" test, especially if von Stalhein gets whumped in the process.

* Sort of a branch of the above—Biggles, Bertie, and Ginger are in danger, and Algy and von Stalhein have to work together to rescue them. Or maybe they're seriously injured, while Algy and von Stalhein are relatively unscathed? I would love to see them having to share some caretaking duties, particularly if they're getting exhausted and gradually in worse and worse shape themselves in the process. Give me all the "lost in the desert and splitting their water supply predominantly between the sick/hurt members of the party and then bickering over which of them should take the first drink" and "neither of us is getting enough sleep because we need to stand guard in shifts, also: I hate you, also: use my jacket as a pillow" and anything else in that vein.

* Post-Hatchet, Algy and EvS have to go undercover together for some reason, maybe with Algy posing as handler for their defector spy? Forced proximity through mutual danger produces ample irritation but also some understanding and respect and potentially even reluctant liking? Do they wind up getting protective of each other?

* A freak mystical accident/understood but rare phenomenon/science experiment leaves Algy and von Stalhein with the world's most unwanted soulbond. Suddenly they have a window into each other's emotions and inner selves, whether they like it or not, and a prickly warming-up begins even as they work to get this undone immediately. (If you want to include ships, I'm also all for Algy being able to sense von Stalhein being in love with Biggles and/or von Stalhein sensing Algy being in love with Ginger.)

* Von Stalhein goes to extraordinary lengths to rescue Algy in part because he knows that Biggles couldn't live without him. If it's post-Hatchet, he fails to realize that Biggles also doesn't want to live without him, which Algy, with much eye-rolling, eventually has to clarify. Or if it's pre-Hatchet, I love the idea of von Stalhein being deeply in denial about the fact that he's helping his archnemesis's best friend because he doesn't want his nemesis to be sad/hate him.

* Post-Hatchet: the first time Algy discovers to his horror that he accidentally just had an enjoyable solo interaction with von Stalhein. Maybe they stumble across a shared interest that no one else they know is into, like a semi-obscure novel or historical period, and get to talking about it while everyone else watches with a combination of fond amusement and incredulity?

* Von Stalhein winds up under the impression that Biggles and Algy are a longstanding couple, and he devotes himself to suffering in pining silence. He's just going to make sure Biggles has the happy life he deserves with his chosen partner! Then one day he says something that reveals what he thinks, and Algy has to clue him in: no, Biggles is in love with you, you idiot, how is a spy this bad at picking up on signals?

Found

Fandom-specific DNW: Gabi/Sir set during Gabi's captivity (weird vibes are fine, I just don't want actual sexual content). Gabi going to prison.

Gabi Mosely & Sir | Hugh Evans
Gabi Mosely/Sir | Hugh Evans

* All the weird definition-blurring fuckery, i.e., is there a sexual element here or not? Who can say? They certainly won't, especially if the answer is yes. I'd love to see more things like the shaving scene or Sir seething over Gabi having anyone over, or anything with Gabi being reluctantly possessive of Sir and Sir viscerally relishing that.

* Gabi sits in her armchair in front of Sir's cell and touches herself while making (letting?) him watch. I think she wouldn't normally be very into seeing him jerk off, but she would like how he'd hate looking messy and vulnerable and horny in front of her, so sometimes she has him touch himself while she coolly mocks him for being pathetic and needy. What would he have to do to get the reward of getting to lick the taste of her off her fingers afterwards?

* I'm totally down with dragging other people into this mess, especially if they never even know what's going on. Gabi roleplays a Totally Fictional Scenario with Trent where he's her captive? She winds up tempting fate by bringing men and/or women back to the house and having noisy sex with them to bother Sir, who … would love to threaten her with yelling but has already given away that he doesn't actually want to be separated from her, so he just has to grit his teeth and fume.

* A lot of the flashbacks to Gabi's time as Sir's captive end with her having not compromised herself or developed any kind of Stockholm Syndrome, but I'd be really interested in seeing the moments her control over principles and worldview might have understandably slipped, or AUs where she wound up getting sucked into his creepy fantasy of an idealized upbringing. What if she had asked for a companion, and she hadn't escaped with Lacey/Bella but had instead entered into some quasi-complicity? What if she'd decided to play the long game and convince him that she's completely on his side, making sure not to take the first chance to run so he'll really trust her and let his guard down … but at some point, she's no longer sure if she's waiting for the right opportunity or if she's just, say, having the world's weirdest tour of Paris.

* Weird hurt/comfort, like during Sir's illness. Maybe Gabi's reluctantly taking care of him again, or maybe she's sick and really needs help, but she can't afford to have any of her friends over in case they get too interested in that triple-locked door, so her condition just gets worse until she's feverish and out-of-it enough that Sir taking care of her actually seems like a good idea.

* Gabi starts giving into her occasional sadistic impulses with Sir, in ways both trivial—making him read books she knows he'll hate and scripting his reactions to them—and severe—painplay/torture and mindfucks. Unfortunately, Sir's kind of into her becoming a worse person.

* The truth about Gabi holding Sir captive comes out, and never mind prison, she can't face her team's reactions to it. She could kill Sir and go on the run alone—or she could take him with her. I'm totally down for both erotic and reluctantly tender murder or the two of them going off together, forever bound together in a deliciously fucked-up way.

Dhan Rana/Zeke Wallace

* In general, I'm totally behind "Dhan gets an amicable divorce before things start up with Zeke"/"Dhan was never married in the first place," but I could really get into the angst of Dhan guiltily starting a relationship with Zeke before he's ended things with his husband. Maybe it starts while his husband is out of town and he's feeling scattered and vulnerable? It could just be so easy to compartmentalize an affair—when they're at Zeke's place, he's with Zeke, and everywhere else, he's with his husband. But things with Zeke are both intense and tender, and Dhan's guilt is getting the best of him because his husband really doesn't deserve this, and he knows he has to make a decision ….

* The circumstances of their first kiss and potentially first time! Does it happen when they're relaxed and playful, with friendly hanging out starting to shade into flirtation and then a kiss? Is it slightly drunk and fumbling? Is one of them (or both of them?) upset or hurt, and the kiss is impulsive and desperate? What's their first time in bed like? Has it been a while since Zeke has been with someone? I love the idea of virginal or relatively inexperienced Zeke, especially since I can still see him having a vivid and well-informed fantasy life.

* Going off the "inexperienced but extremely well-informed Zeke" idea—Zeke has a lot of years of solitary fantasies to try out, and a lot of money to fund experimentation, so he and Dhan wind up trying out a lot, from upmarket sex toys to roleplay to a wide variety of kinks. I love both the hotness of things working out and the sweet and awkward comedy of them discovering that something isn't doing it for them at all, actually.

* Hurt/comfort! Maybe Dhan gets hurt in the field, and Zeke is incredibly stressed about having to wait to see if he's okay. Does Dhan rush to him to put his mind at ease? Are they already in a relationship, or is this what kicks everything off? Does someone they're tracking down—maybe someone who's specifically been found out because of Zeke's hacking—attack Zeke in his apartment, or even abduct him? I'm so here for dramatic rescues and comfort and potentially bloody vengeance and Dhan working to get Zeke calm and home again if he's been taken somewhere else.

* Getting used to sharing a bed together and dealing with each other's nightmares.

* Zeke winds up using some of his fortune to play low-key sugar daddy to Dhan, who turns out—to his own surprise—to also be incredibly into it. He loves being spoiled and showered with gifts: it's not about the money as much as it's about being cherished and doted on and getting to, say, wear designer clothes his boyfriend's bought for him and subtly showing off their relationship.

* Pre-get-together, Dhan indulges in some sexual fantasies about Zeke hacking all of his stuff for voyeurism purposes, so he's constantly turning himself on thinking about Zeke watching him through his webcam as he jerks off or even feeling entranced and weirdly reassured by the idea of Zeke being able to track him.

The Other Black Girl

(These prompts are going to contain major spoilers for Season 1.)

Hazel-May McCall/Nella Rogers

* I love the intensity and toxicity and sincerity of Hazel's bond with Nella: she may be helping to ruin Nella's life and may be trying to convince Nella to basically give up control of her own mind and soul, but she also genuinely likes her. And even though Hazel's happiness—or what she can imagine of it—depends on Nella's compliance, she hates the idea of forcing Nella into anything. I'd love to see more of S1 from her perspective, with all her loneliness and longing foregrounded even as she's part of a sinister horror plot. Give me all of her crushing on Nella, masturbating thinking about Nella, fantasizing about an idealized life with her, trying to manipulate her, trying to bond with her—anything.

* Post-S1 fic where Hazel finds out that Nella's essentially a double-agent, and she winds up joining her in the quest to bring the whole thing down. Their fraught relationship would only gain even more complications if they suddenly really were on the same side, especially since Nella would have every reason to doubt Hazel's loyalties. But they'd also be so closely bonded by being in similar danger, and it would be so easy for hate to turn to hatesex to turn to love ….

* Post-S1 fic where Hazel doesn't necessarily find out that Nella is faking it. Sometimes she worries that Nella's freezing her out, but she doesn't ever completely arrive at the conclusion that Nella hasn't used the hair grease—she just feels insecure and lonelier than ever. But she and Nella do fall into a relationship—maybe Nella's deliberately starting it/going along with it to get information or make it seem like she's just that different now, or maybe the attraction and extremely complicated feelings between them just boiled over naturally—and Hazel doesn't know what to make of the weird throb of hate beneath the ostensible love.

* Also, just: Hazel under Nella's desk, eating her out.

* Darkfic where Nella cracks and uses the hair grease after all. She and Hazel are now both convinced that they're in their shared happy ending and that their love story is sweet and idyllic. (I love darkfic where the characters themselves see the outcome as perfectly normal and fine.) Does either of them ever feel the slight cracks in the facade? What happens if they've committed to each other as well as to the cause, but then Diana breaks her bargain with Hazel and orders Hazel to go back on the road as a recruiter? Could Hazel and Nella wind up overcoming the effects of the hair grease enough to choose each other and escape?

Malaika/Owen/Nella Rogers

Pairing-specific DNW: the characters getting conditioned, either voluntarily or involuntarily. Permanent break-ups.

* The more the show went on, the more I passionately wanted this ship to happen. They all have such good chemistry with each other, and they would just be so funny and hot together. (I'm good with both full-on OT3s and with a V relationship with Nella in the middle, as long as Malaika and Owen are still close and friendly with each other.) It's just so much fun to be with the three of them that I'd love any kind of lighthearted slice-of-life fic—maybe in an AU with lower stakes, or as a poignant break from everything else that's going on.

* Post-S1 fic that explores what it's like for Nella to suddenly have such a sharp and potentially dangerous divide between her work life and her personal life: she has to keep up the "willingly brainwashed" facade at the office and be ready to don that mask again at a moment's notice, but Owen and Malaika can offer her some respite from that. Does her home start to feel like a kind of oasis? Does she start needing Malaika and Owen even more? (Is that closeness how they kick off their poly relationship in the first place, with Malaika sleeping over so much that soon it just feels more natural to have her sleep in Nella and Owen's bed?)

* Post-S1 fic with dramatic threats and even more dramatic rescues. Nella is in peril because Diana and Richard have started to suspect that she's faking her compliance, and Malaika and Owen have to rescue her? Malaika and Owen wind up in trouble because they're caught poking around the edges of the conspiracy, and Nella has to use all her courage and guile to organize a solo rescue or else brazen her way through it and convince Diana that everything's fine? (Or only one of them gets caught/kidnapped, and other aids Nella in pulling off the rescue?) Afterwards, there is comfort and potentially sex.

* Instead of pretending to fall in line at the end of S1, Nella goes on the run, taking her boyfriend and best friend with her, and the three of them begin a new, unstable life of sleeping in crappy motels and looking over their shoulders? Are they already all together before that, or does this act as a catalyst? Was Nella ever worried that one or both of them might not want to leave everything behind and come with her? Do tensions ever run high? If so, how do they resolve them? (Fuck them out? Talk them out? Bury everything under jokes and cuddling and hope for the best?)

* Post-S1 fic where the three of them have to hide their relationship because it doesn't fit with the image that Diana wants Nella to project. (Maybe there's even a specific person Nella's instructed to date?) It would be fascinating to see them try to keep their ongoing connection out-of-sight, especially if Nella has an "official" significant other she has to contend with.

Our Flag Means Death

Fandom-specific DNWs: Izzy's death (except where noted). Jim, Olu, and Archie leaving the crew.

I also like Ed/Stede, Jim/Olu, Jim/Olu/Archie, Lucius/Pete, and all other canon ships—and the non-canon ones too, honestly, so I'm good with any other relationships you may want to include. I love everyone in this bar, whether I've specifically requested them or not.

My preferred ways of dealing with canon relationships being split up in fic are amicable (if awkward and sad at the start) breakups, "ship never got together in the first place," or poly/open relationships. I'd like any previous partners to be doing essentially okay—e.g., if it's Stede/Izzy and Ed's off being a fisherman, I want to be able to believe Ed's happy doing it rather than lonely and miserable.

Frenchie/Israel Hands

* Even more gleeful anachronisms than usual: a raid leaves the crew with a huge supply of shoddy chocolate. When they make port, Frenchie takes it upon himself to invent Valentine's Day, convincing everyone ashore that there's a very real holiday for celebrating romance and that their significant others will expect gifts. It's also the perfect time to tell someone how you feel! With chocolate, that you can buy from him! But his scheme is so effective that the Revenge crew winds up getting into the Valentine's Day spirit too, and with all the romance in the air, Frenchie may as well use this chance to make a move on Izzy ….

* Frenchie needs a fake boyfriend for a bit of grift. Maybe Izzy (grumpily, snarkily) agrees to get drawn into the proceedings? Or maybe someone else does, and Izzy winds up having a hard time watching Frenchie trade casually loving touches with someone and call them pet names, and that serves as a catalyst for him making his feelings clear?

* Breakup boat-era feelings and/or hookups—frantic and stressed and surprisingly tender? Moments where things teeter on the edge of tipping over from platonic to otherwise? Frenchie trying to hold on to his cheerful fatalism but slipping sometimes and needing comfort? Hurt/comfort with either of them tending to the other or trying to protect each other? Brief bit of hand-holding or a stolen kiss when they're in the brig on the Red Flag?

* Frenchie gets very into Izzy's drag look, so Izzy gives him a private show. Maybe they also try some makeup on Frenchie and get into that as well?

* Izzy lives and stays on as first mate to Captain Frenchie. If they're not together, does this make Izzy's attraction to him shift into another, more obvious gear, because he does love a good authority figure? If so, what's it like for Frenchie to suddenly be such a focal point for Izzy's loyalty and intensity and service kink? How does it eventually become clear that their relationship isn't just about that? Alternately, does Izzy decide—whether they're already in a relationship or not—that Frenchie being the captain puts him off-limits because They Have to Be Professional? I'd love to see Frenchie convincing him otherwise.

* Captain Frenchie decides Izzy deserves a break and that he should just be a semi-retired figure who's part of the life of the ship but doesn't have all the work of being a first mate. Izzy, of course, construes this as a total rejection of his potential usefulness. Can Frenchie get him to accept a more relaxed life, or is the right solution for Izzy to still have a more official role after all? Is there a weird period where Izzy tries to make his official role "captain's bedwarmer," and things get mildly angsty before they get better?

Israel Hands & Jim Jimenez
Israel Hands/Jim Jimenez

* Jim didn't go through all the trouble of pulling off an amateur leg amputation just for Izzy to get both his leg and himself in unreasonable danger, so they develop a major protective streak towards him. Izzy goes on an emotional journey from "this is fucking insulting" to "this is fucking hot"/"this is giving me Feelings."

* Exception to my DNW about Izzy's death: I adore Jim inheriting his glove, and I'd love anything exploring them claiming that (or Izzy having left it to them—I could see him potentially having some very terse will) and having feelings about it. I love anything in the spectrum of their relationship, from sex and romance to crew bonding to a kind of surrogate parent-child relationship, so anything from "mourning lover Jim jerks off with the glove on" to "Jim treasures Izzy's glove like it's their family knife, and for the same reasons," is excellent—whatever direction you want to go in.

* The two of them hooking up after Calypso's Birthday, still in their drag outfits, and just being super into both it and each other.

* Also just porn in general, because it would be ferociously hot. I would be thrilled with anything, but if it's helpful, I could definitely see them being into things like knifeplay, honor bondage, hair-touching, overstimulation, body appreciation, and deliberately leaving bruises/marks/bites. But seriously, anything.

* Jim gets temporarily magically de-aged to an intense, extremely untrusting child or teenager focused solely on revenge and getting back to their Nana. Izzy is actually very good at looking after them and helping draw them out of their shell a bit without pushing them too hard.

* Comfort during the breakup boat era! Post-severed-toes comfort, comfort for exhaustion and being pushed to their limits, post-mutiny comfort when they're starving and think they're probably going to die, comfort sex, emotionally complicated comfort where Jim's still resentful and/or furious but is going to reluctantly accept or offer comfort anyway ….

* Jim's emotional journey from "you're a fucking asshole who marooned my boyfriend, tried to kill my captain, and antagonized the guy who's now got us trapped in a floating hell" to "he's a dick, but he's our dick." Just little glimpses of their evolving relationship with Izzy as they go from hate to attachment and from seeing him as an antagonist to an ally/crewmate/friend/lover/whatever.

* Vaguely True Grit-inspired pre-S1 AU where Izzy is on his own for some reason (he and Ed are in the middle of a dubiously professional spat? He's on extended shore leave to recuperate from some injury and chafing for something to do? He's rethinking his whole life?) and Jim winds up hiring him to help out with their revenge plans.

Stede Bonnet & Israel Hands
Stede Bonnet/Israel Hands

* 2x07 AU without Ricky's attack on the Republic or the possibility of Olu, Jim, and Archie leaving—just recently dumped Stede morosely getting drunk and still dealing with the lingering high of newfound fame. He talks Izzy into having a few more drinks before they go back to the ship … and the next thing he knows, he's waking up fuzzy-headed, hungover, and apparently married to an equally hungover and confused Izzy. Obviously this is a huge mistake! Izzy tried to kill him! More than once! Yes, they're getting along better now, but they're certainly not in love! But then again, a lot of the crew seems to think they were having a good time last night and seem happy for them, so—maybe they'll go along with it for a while? Give it a shot for the sake of morale? Romance ensues.

* Honestly, anything set in that style of 2x07 AU (crew intact, Republic fine, but Ed's left to become a fisherman) is such a great setup for Stede/Izzy, and I would be delighted to see anything in that time frame. I really like the trope of having a second love that, while maybe not as grand or immediately as passionate or intense, is still just as significant and lovely and worth having. And bizarrely, despite their, uh, fraught history, 2x05 and afterwards convinced me that they could have a genuinely nice, laidback bitch4bitch relationship that I really want to read about. So fuckbuddies-to-lovers or surprisingly functional work partners to lovers, having oddly sweet moments over dealing with crew business and raids, rebound sex, tentative first kisses … anything.

* I'd also love the gen version of this scenario! Take out the additional stressors at the end of 2x07 and just let Stede deal with his breakup with the resigned help of his boyfriend's sort-of ex, with Izzy doing some annoyed caretaking and maybe stopping Stede from having an ill-advised rebound hookup. Just a lot of: "He'll come back, Bonnet, no, I'm not fucking holding your hair while you throw up."

* More captaincy/seamanship lessons! I love both the hands-on skills like rope-swinging and the more management-style lessons about listening to the crew about curses, and I love Izzy being visibly-if-reluctantly impressed at Stede's successes. More of that would be great. And for the shippy variation, there's so much good potential for competence kink, praise kink, Izzy getting off on their relationship being marked out in a series of Stede's new calluses, etc.

* Izzy platonically approves of Stede's more practical S2 wardrobe and/or is totally into the bodice ripper hero look, but after the cursed red suit debacle, he grits his teeth and keeps an eye out for either fancy outfits or high-quality silks, satins, and velvets on future raids, and eventually he presents Stede with a non-cursed bit of fashion for days when he desperately needs something fancy.

* S1 AUs where things go a little bit better—no duel, for example—but their dynamic is still extremely tense and testy and full of mutual dislike, but then something happens to make them reevaluate each other: they're kidnapped? They have to work together to rescue Ed? They're both kind of impressed with the other's conduct during a bad storm?

* I love the idea of S2 Izzy starting to see Stede as his captain, even if he doesn't want to admit it, so anything with a bit of loyalty/authority kink in that regard would be very welcome. He slips and calls Stede captain or deliberately acknowledges him as his captain in front of other people? This pairs really well with some protectiveness, like in some scenario where they run into another old school bully of Stede's and Izzy really bristles at their interactions, defends Stede, and encourages Stede to further defend himself.

Crew of the Revenge & Israel Hands
Crew of the Revenge/Israel Hands

* I'm with Buttons: the Revenge is (or should) a non-stop knocking shop, and honestly, Izzy should get in on it from all kinds of different angles. Orgies, affectionate gangbangs, joining established couples for threesomes, various hookups, etc.--just basically lots of sweet and playful and hot and tender sex with basically everyone. Or, from a tamer perspective, lots of flirtation and/or casual intimacy. Just Izzy going from "uptight guy with don't-touch-me vibes" to "giver and recipient of lots of easy, friendly affection."

* Bed-sharing to deal with nightmares and trouble sleeping, especially with the rest of the "feral" crewmembers (the rest of the break-up boat crew + Lucius). I love both the platonic and romantic versions of this—I just love all variations on this kind of intimacy and trust and cuddling, especially if it's being done in a very "we're not talking about this" way.

* Protectiveness in the face of some outside threat like Ricky, Ned Low, or villainous OCs! I adore Izzy being protective of the crew and trying to distract and redirect anybody menacing them so that they wind up hurting him instead, and I love the crew wanting to discourage this and also protect him from time to time, or at least take care of him afterwards. I honestly don't care much about plausibility here—if you want to have Ricky make Izzy "buy" his crew's and captains' lives with a certain number of lashes per person or Ned Low making him the centerpiece of a torture concert that the crew is forced to let go on so they can manage to slip their bonds in the meantime, 100% go for it. I fully support all uses of h/c logic. And I also adore more ordinary h/c, like sickfic and taking a bullet for someone else. It's all fantastic.

* See also: sex pollen orgies! And Bad Guys Made Them Do It, with either Izzy and the whole crew or Izzy and the smaller group of characters of your choice doing their best to make it good for each other even though they didn't wind up here deliberately. It can go somewhere real or not—I love sex pollen-to-romance and Made Them Do It-to-romance, but I also love the dynamic of characters going through something awkward and potentially painful together and just trying to look out for each other and coming through on the other side with their platonic bonds intact or even strengthened. And with sex pollen, I also love the desperation and neediness and how overwhelming it gets, and that feels perfect for Izzy/Crew.

* Izzy has some mishap during a raid, one he's convinced he wouldn't have had if he still had both legs, and he grimly convinces himself that he's become a liability and should probably leave. Everyone teams up to convince him otherwise or—if he just slips off during shore leave and leaves a note behind—to go get him and convince him he's being an idiot and should come back.

* The Revenge takes on a few new crew members, and one or more of them feels like he should be the new first mate: hey, he's younger and fitter and way more pleasant to be around, so it should be easy to oust this scowling guy with an inexplicable unicorn leg who keeps yelling at everyone and calling them twats, right? No, because he's their dick now, so the crew turns against this guy in ways dramatic and/or petty.

Poirot - Agatha Christie

All these characters only appear in Death on the Nile.

Carl Bessner/Ferguson | Lord Dawlish/Cornelia Robson

* Post-Death on the Nile, Cornelia and Dr. Bessner are married and ready to live happily and practically ever after, but they didn't expect that Ferguson would stay in touch. Maybe he's as opinionated and judgmental as ever, but it's easier to deal with him now that they're a set pair and he's the lonely hypocritical socialist aristocrat who is hanging around them like a lovesick puppy. They see him a couple times out of bemused (maybe even slightly annoyed) nostalgia, but then they find themselves actually … getting to like him? I'm here for all the weird, accidentally cozy domesticity of Ferguson hanging around all the time because he doesn't feel at home anywhere else, with OT3 shippiness starting to creep in.

* One night, Ferguson's visiting Bessner and Cornelia, and he has a few too many drinks. While they're pouring him into bed, he impulsively kisses Cornelia—well, they knew he had feelings for her, even if they might have thought he'd moved on. But then he kisses Bessner too. Now everyone has to figure out what they want to do about this ….

* Ferguson starts becoming a kinder person and putting his ideals into practice instead of just acerbic comments, and his gradual improvement is making Cornelia and Bessner warm towards him.

* Pining where Ferguson is deeply, besottedly into them but thinks that they couldn't possibly reciprocate because Cornelia is very upright and would never take another lover, and Dr. Bessner is traditional and probably remembers all the bad things Ferguson said about him …. Maybe they even start having sex, but he keeps thinking he's just their bit on the side, but eventually he finds out that the feelings are mutual.

* Outsider POV fic where either Lord Dawlish's neighbors are bewildered by the relatively plain German doctor and his wife that Dawlish keeps bringing around—who seem perfectly at home on his property!--or the Bessners' neighbors slowly working out exactly who Ferguson is even if they can't figure out what on earth he's doing there.

* Porn! I can see both Dr. Bessner and Cornelia liking to give orders for other people's own good, and Ferguson is someone who, if you scratch the surface, could be very eager to please the few people he actually cares about. Casual D/s with some commands and maybe a bit of bondage? Cornelia getting cunnilingus from both her husband and her lover? Bessner testing both Cornelia and Ferguson's reaction times and erogenous zones FOR SCIENCE?

Jacqueline de Bellefort/Linnet Doyle

* Anything darkly bittersweet and canon-compliant, where the shadow of Simon and accompanying doom hangs over everything. What were the earlier, happier days of their friendship like? Did their friendship sometimes include casual sex that they either minimized or didn't talk about? How would Jackie's passionate intensity and Linnet's selfishness and destructive "I know what's best" confidence manifest if they had a relationship with each other?

* AU where Linnet doesn't suddenly fall for Simon but for Jackie, and Simon wants Jackie to pursue her until Linnet remakes her will to leave Jackie everything? Maybe Jackie winds up genuinely loving Linnet more than Simon and scuppering the plan completely, and she and Linnet build a life together that may or may not ever involve mentioning the original murder idea. Maybe Jackie is prepared to go through with it, no matter how awful it is, but she has a hard time living with the aftermath. (I'll also take a No Homophobia AU where Linnet and Jackie can actually get married, and Simon has to pretend to be their stalker.) I don't even need a resolution—I would be just as happy with a dark snippet of Jackie/Linnet with Linnet not knowing the whole story and with Jackie herself uncertain of what's going to happen.

* AU where Jackie decides she can't go through with the plan after all, and she takes Poirot's warning and doesn't follow Simon and Linnet onto the boat. Maybe she sends an anonymous letter warning Linnet about her husband. Linnet might not believe it at the time, but then Simon dies trying to smuggle a cobra into a bed, paving the way for Jackie and Linnet to reunite as a troubled couple with genuine feelings but the world's weirdest history.

* Jealous, bitter, guilty, fraught hatesex during the stage where Linnet is slowly—she thinks—stealing Simon away from Jackie?

* I like where Poirot points out to Linnet that there must have been a moment when she felt herself falling for Simon and first trying to attract him and she chose to give into it. What if there had been an earlier moment in her life when she'd felt that with Jackie, and—because it was the 1930s—she did stifle the urge? AU where she didn't, and they had a full-blown affair/relationship that actually worked out? Alternate version of the Nile cruise where they're just there on their own holiday, enjoying the scenery with no idea that things could have unfolded some other way?

* Peggy Sue fic! Jackie shoots herself at the end of the novel … and wakes up back when she first came to ask Linnet to do her a favor and hire Simon, and she decides to make things turn out differently this time ….

Thoroughbreds

Amanda/Lily

* Tim kills Mark, but Mark hangs around as a vengeful ghost, and now Amanda and Lily have to deal with a haunted house. They've gotten away with murder, but how do they handle the supernatural? Does Lily just start trying to find excuses to stay at Amanda’s? (Does she admit right away that she knows what’s happening, or does it become one more secret?) How would Amanda’s rigorous practicality match up against the paranormal? I’m good with this as either a slightly surreal/magical realist take or out-and-out horror.

* Amanda and Lily get away with murder (via the means of your choice), and murder becomes an easy solution to their problems, especially from Lily's POV. What other murders over the years does she enlist Amanda to help her with? Do they tip over into killing for pleasure? Does Amanda start wondering if Lily is someone the world would be better off without, or if they both are? Does Lily start thinking about eliminating her accomplice? Or do they develop an intense mutual loyalty despite all the death and dysfunction, and then keep choosing each other over everyone else?

* Historical Gothic romance AU where Lily's mom doesn't know about Amanda's history, and she hires her to be Lily's live-in companion in their gorgeous but cavernously empty house? Old-fashioned sinister Gothic goings-on, dark secrets, and a murder plot against Mark?

* Ambiguous, unsettling hangouts and line-blurring! Really anything playing up the blend of obsession, possessiveness, attraction, manipulation, and longing between them, or anything that delves into Lily's selfishness and concern for image over substance or Amanda's supposed lack of emotion and takes those things into some weird psychological horror places.

* Lily has some kind of ability to manifest people who can help her, and she conjured up Amanda. Is Amanda secretly made out of things like twigs and clay and Lily's hair and blood, and does she need regular maintenance to keep this from showing? What's their relationship like when you add a whole twisted Frankenstein's monster angle to it? Can they use Mark's death to make Amanda more real? Does Amanda need to feed off blood or sex?

* The girls are budding witches, and they need to kill Mark as a blood sacrifice to gain more power.

* Lily secretly getting off a little on Amanda’s comparatively-unwashed scent, and liking that while not at all liking that she likes it. Amanda being as matter-of-fact about kink experimentation as she is about everything else. Fooling around in the pool or on expensive furniture, especially if there’s a taboo element to it (like it belonging to Mark). Wearing each other’s clothes. Clothed sex, wall sex, pool sex, Amanda’s weird tangents during sex, marking/biting/bruising. Possessiveness.

* Instead of murdering Mark, Amanda and Lily eventually decide to fake Lily's murder and frame him for it before the two of them go on the run. Please give me all the dark scheming and even darker comedy and the two of them ruining his life while escaping their own.

At the risk of parroting everyone else, with the addition of 'why am I not yet following your journal', your Biggles prompts ALL need to have been done last week! 😍 *grabby paws*
